From 22th to 27th of August, the 45th junior world championship WorldSkills took place in Kazan, Russia. Around 1,600 participants from 60 countries competed in order to determine the junior world champions under the age of 23 in 56 occupations. As a machine sponsor for turning – together with KUNZMANN for milling – of the 45th junior world championship WorldSkills, we congratulate all participants on their successes.
He was and is an outstanding achiever for WEILER and his work is also widely recognized and appreciated in the industry: Our senior partner Friedrich K. Eisler (Photo, 3rd from left) has been honored for his lifetime work on the 11th German Mechanical Engineering Summit in Berlin. He is the first Austrian winner who receives this award. All employees of WEILER and of the partner companies KUNZMANN and WMS Wematech would like to offer their heartfelt congratulations.
Dr.-Ing. Andreas Wende is the new technical director at WEILER Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH. At the beginning of the year, he took over the new position. The 54-year-old studied mechanical engineering and received a doctor´s degree in engineering. After having hold responsible positions in rail vehicle construction, the native Berliner took over leading positions in medium-sized companies in the field of mechanical engineering. Most recently, he was a member of the management of companies in the field of CNC sheet metal working as well as tool and special machine construction.
