Around 2,000 visitors to the 75th company anniversary

Around 2,000 visitors celebrated the 75th company anniversary of WEILER Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH from 6 to 8 June at the company's headquarters in the north Bavarian town of Emskirchen. This response far exceeded expectations. Our heartfelt thank yous go to all visitors and helpers.

Spontaneous donation for flood victims
Despite the party atmosphere the company's owner family also thought of the flood victims. Senior  partner Dkfm. Friedrich K. spontaneously handed over a donation of Euro 10,000 to Bavaria's Minister of the Interior Joachim Herrmann at the opening. The Minister of the Interior gave his thanks for the "generous gesture" and called it an "important sign of solidarity."

Georg Bischoff: 1938 trainee
Friedrich K. Eisler welcomed 89-year old Georg Bischoff as a representative of the first year of trainees from the year in which WEILER was founded, 1938. The "man of the first hour" followed the speeches attentively and when he was offered the microphone he took it without hesitation to express his thanks for the invitation and his greetings to former colleagues.

State prize for ex-trainee

During the celebrations Friedrich K. Eisler was able to announce a further surprise: Matthias Popp, who only completed his training as a technical draughtsperson a few days ago is to receive the Bavarian State Prize for his good training grades. Eisler congratulated him on behalf of the company and the present guests and was pleased that once again a WEILER trainee was to receive the award, which he considered to be substantiation of the continuous high quality and importance of vocational training within the company.

The first two days of the celebrations were dedicated to customers, partners and suppliers. Here the focus was on technical discussions and the machine exhibition, at which the entire range of precision lathes were on view for the first time. The third day was reserved for employees, their families and friends.
